Piedmont Hazelnut I.G.P.

Why is it the best?

The Tonda Gentile Trilobata hazelnut is recognized throughout the world as the best variety for its qualitative and nutritional characteristics, including:

• High post-shelling yield

• Excellent natural peelability of the product

• Unique aroma and flavor, enhanced by roasting and unmistakable even in the various processes

• Excellent shelf life

• High content of unsaturated fats, oleic acid, vitamin E, antioxidants

Precisely for its excellent qualities, closely related to the cultivation area, this variety of hazelnut has obtained the I.G.P. mark of origin and the consequent denomination "Piedmont Hazelnut I.G.P.".

Due to microclimatic and territorial characteristics, the best production area for this hazelnut is the Alta Langa, of which it is in fact a native variety.

For this reason and for a more specific qualitative recognition, the designation of origin has taken on a further valorization with the addition of the qualification “delle Langhe” to identify the production of Piedmont Hazelnuts in the narrowest area that identifies the Langhe within the area foreseen by the specification.
